Canyon is a tiny, little, family-loving, ski hill near Red Deer Alberta. They hail it as the best non-mountain place to ski in the province.
Now this place is clearly not for the adventure-seeking expert, but I went to a race there once and it was super fun.
Built around a tradition of fun for everyone and the love of skiing even when you don’t have huge mountains nearby to ski on, this place likes to turn babies into life long ski fans. They have an intense range of ski lessons and training programs for skiers and snowboarders regardless of whether they are still in diapers.
I remember some of the best girls I raced against got their start training gates at Canyon.
The ski school is even made up of local die-hards whose kilometers logged on the slopes would put us all to shame.
